Jill Timmons has performed internationally as both a solo and ensemble artist.

Her recitals at Carnegie Hall, Merkin Hall, and the National Gallery of Art received public acclaim and her Chicago debut on the Dame Myra Hess Series was broadcast live on WFMT to 400 cable stations nationwide.

Internationally, Timmons has toured throughout Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France, Spain and Chile. In the U.S., Ms. Timmons has toured under the auspices of the National Endowment for the Arts, was a recording grant recipient from the NEA, and has been heard on National Public Radio.

Committed to American composers, her discography includes The Complete Piano Works of William Bergsma (Laurel Records-1993), Chamber Music of Dexter Morrill (Capstone Records-1997) and The Violin/Viola-Piano Music of Amy Beach (Centaur Records-1997).

Timmons has also performed with pianist Judith Cohen. In Tandem: Music for Two Pianos (Capstone Records-2003) is a compilation of several of their favorite two-piano works. New release: Cohen-Timmons Duo In Tandem Two: Twentieth Century Music for Two Pianos (Capstone 2007)

In addition to her NEA awards, she has also won, with co-author Sylvain Frémaux, the Wilk Prize (1998) from University of Southern California for groundbreaking research on the Polish composer, Alexandre Tansman.

She holds a DMA degree from the University of Washington and a Master of Music degree from Boston University. Presently she combines concerts and recording work with an artist-in-residence position at Linfield College in Oregon.
