Artsmentor is an entrepreneurial consulting organization offering advice
and
coaching to performing artists, arts organizations, private teachers, and
college/grad students.
Its founder and principal is Jill Timmons, D.M.A. who brings 25 years of
experience as a tenured college professor, concert pianist, recording artist,
arts advocate and teacher to her work as an arts mentor.
As a performer, Jill has toured internationally and her performances at
Carnegie Hall, the Dame Myra Hess Series, Festival Mozart (France), Chenango
Musikfest, the National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C., and Tanglewood have earned her rave reviews.
Committed to American composers, she released The Complete Piano Works of
William Bergsma (Laurel Records, 1993), Chamber Music of Dexter
Morrill (Capstone Records, 1997), Violin/Viola and Piano Music
of Amy Beach (Centaur Records, 1998), and In Tandem: Music for Two Pianos (Capstone Records-2003).

In her work as an arts mentor, she has served as a program director for Oregon
Public
Broadcasting and been an NEA state arts advocate for Oregon, Idaho and Arizona.
She has been a
consultant to state and regional divisions of the Music
Teachers National Association, as well as a coach/mentor for numerous teachers
and individual performing artists nationwide.
Her passionate commitment to the power of the arts to transform individuals
and society sculpts her work as an artist and an arts mentor.
